A quick glance at the HP Color LaserJet 4700n printer reveals another in a long line of printers from Hewlett-Packard that are hard to disparage in any meaningful way. There are a number of reasons for why the 4700n will be hard to dislike, with some of them being its nice print speed capability, expandable onboard memory and excellent hardiness. In fact, it can take a great deal of punishment and keep right on going. The LaserJet 4700n Toner produces excellent prints no matter the size of the project.

This particular HP Printer is one of several laser jet printers in the 4700 lineup, with all designed to work well within many different sizes of networked workgroups. The print speed is an outstanding 31 ppm of color and b&w product, making for a performance number that many competitor printers from a wide variety of manufacturers have a difficult time matching up against, for a fact.

The 4700n is connected to a network via wired technology, meaning that a physical connection will be needed. It does this by means of three different methods; traditional parallel port, a USB connection or an up-to-date 10/100 Base-TX Ethernet input port. This makes it exceedingly easy to interface the machine with just about any size network quite easily.

The quality of the print product that emerges from the 4700n is also good, with resolutions of 600 by 600 dots per inch (dpi). This means most printed products will look clear and sharp. 600 dpi should also be more than enough for most any print tasking that a typical networked workgroup might care to assign, as well. Images are also improved through use of HP’s ImageREt 3600 suite.

Paper capacity with standard included paper trays and a multipurpose tray comes in at 500 sheets. This can be increased greatly — all the way up to 2,600 sheets — through the addition of several optional trays. This HP Color LaserJet toner cartridge also handles a great many different paper sizes, though most will just use the legal and letter sizes commonly seen in almost every network these days.

Maintenance requirements will be more than reasonable with the 4700n, because it will not require normal maintenance until it has exceeded 100,000 sheets printed out. The monthly duty cycle can therefore be said to be fairly robust. Additionally, print jobs will start emerging from the printer in under 12 seconds, from the time the job is tasked until the paper comes out. From cold startup, it will be less than two minutes for a job to begin emerging.

Standard supplied RAM for the 4700n is 128 MB, which is also more than adequate for most print tasks and queues. Memory can be expanded all the way up to 512 MB, which means a very large amount of print tasks can be stored within the printer’s internal memory. Additionally, the printer handles everything smoothly with a 533 MHz processor, meaning everything works smoothly and quickly, in terms of print assignments.

In all, there’s a great deal to like about this particular printer, including its relatively reasonable retail price before discounts. The HP Color LaserJet 4700n Toner comes with a standard one-year on-site service warranty, quick print speeds and very good durability. It’ll be there for quite awhile, no matter the size of the network.

Quality is certainly not sacrificed with the print speed as the 4700n laser toner ensures each page is cleanly professional. After all, that’s the goal and it is easily met by HP Toner. Saving money is also a goal for any business these days and obtaining replacement remanufactured laser toner online will exceed your expectations.
